Why Tethr (Should) Exist

Tethr doesn't exist yet, but it should!

When I finally sat down to figure out our Christmas card this year (as usual, just a few weeks before Christmas), I realized I was craving a better way to share life updates with the people we love.

I love the tradition of holiday cards and end-of-year social posts. They are meaningful in their own way, but they can also feel limiting. I don’t actually know more than half of my Instagram followers. Collecting addresses and mailing physical cards is time-consuming (and surprisingly expensive). And most of all, I wanted space to go a little deeper than a simple “Happy holidays.”

Life moves fast. People move. Families grow. Seasons change. And before you realize it, some of the people who matter most are no longer part of your everyday rhythm.

That’s the idea behind Tethr.

Tethr could be a place to share meaningful life updates in a way that feels personal, intentional, and authentic, without the pressure to post constantly or keep up week to week. A way to stay connected to the people you care about, even when life pulls you in different directions.

You received this Tethr because we care about you and want you in our lives in a real, meaningful way, even if we don’t live in the same city anymore and catch up as frequently as we used to.

Whether or not I officially bring Tethr into the world is still TBD, but regardless, I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts and reactions to this Tethr!

Lots of love,
Julia
